Warrington Running Festival 26 September

On Sunday, 26th September 2021 the Warrington Running Festival will be taking place, with competitors running 5km, 10km and half marathon races. They will all commence on Sankey Street outside the Golden Gates, and the routes will go out through the south and east parts of the town centre, Church St and Knutsford Road, and Grappenhall Road and Chester Road at Stockton Heath.
Road closures will be in place from the start of the day until the races have finished btween 12:30 & 14:00, and as a result of this the following route diversions will be in place until the roads reopen.
Services 1 & 2 will both operate via Midland Way & Manchester Road to/from Westy and Latchford until Knutsford Road reopens
Services 3, 17, 25 & 28 will operate via Midland Way to Cockedge roundabout and then as normal routes
Services 14, 16, 17 & 32 will operate via Midland Way to the Pinkeye roundabout and then as normal routes
Service CAT 5 will operate via Midland Way, Manchester Road, Kingsway North and South to Pilling Gardens and then as normal route
Service CAT 6 will operate via Midland Way, Crosfields Street, Parker Street, Slutchers Lane and Gainborough Road to London Road and then as normal route
Services to the north of town (19, 20, 21 & 22A) are unaffected.
